[Those who are familiar with Goldenrod and it's surrounding areas will notice that Vriska is just outside the city on Route 35. She's glaring down at the spider Pokémon who seems rather pleased with itself, and a female Nidoran lay unconscious beside it. Spinneret has just defeated the poor creature, but her trainer is not so happy with her.]

Don't look so smug, Spinneret. You're not done yet, and I'm getting sick of training you! You should have evolved ages ago. You hear me! Aaaaaaaages. That Database says you evolved at level 22, and you're currently level 29. Are you evolved? No you're not! So get it together you spidery pathetic spider loser! If you don't evolve today, you're done, finished, outta here! Got that?

[Spinneret flinches but makes a small acknowledging sound. The camera follows the two of them as they trudge through the grass in search of more creatures to battle. A Pidgey flies down and takes a swipe at the Spinarak. The battle music begins.]

All right, time to prove yourself Spinneret.

[The battle looks like it's going to be fierce, but Spinneret easily defeats the bird. The ping from the gear is heard.]

Spinarak has reached level 30

[Vriska glares at the spider warningly, but in just a moment the bright glow washes over her and a second later Spinneret is larger, and red, and has finally evolved. Vriska's fear tactics have worked.]

Hah! Seeeeeeee, that's more like it! Look how tough you are now. Maybe you'll stop such a wimpy wimp loser all the time!

[ so mean, Vriska. 8( when Tavros sees the video feed he considers saying something, but ultimately just. sets the 'gear down in his lap and wheels his way out toward the scene. not too close, though. he doesn't want to be spotted and picked on!!

he just wants to get within range of that poor spiderbeast so he can commune with it. Good job, uhh, Spinneret! Don't be sad, and, don't let her get you down, okay? just some friendly encouragement from a total stranger, no big deal. ]

[The newly evolved Ariados lets out a happy noise at the encouragement. It's nice to hear a kind word every now and then. Thank you so much!

What are you getting so excited about, huh? You evolved, good job. You still have a long ways to go.

[ he tries to motion with his hands to not give his position away, grinning a little. She's right, you know! But, uhh, it's okay to be excited about it, so, just keep your attitude up, and, it'll go easier for you, I think.

[Unfortunately for Tavros, Spinneret wants to find where this new source of encouragement is coming from. So against her trainer's demands she starts heading toward the brush where he is hiding.]

Nothing's wrong with either of you. Some pokémon just take a little longer to evolve than others. And I've heard that there are some who don't even want to evolve at all.

Mmm...well yeah it does make them stronger. But not all pokémon like to fight either. So they don't necessarily have to be super strong.

Sure, I guess. Spinneret doesn't like fighting, but she's good at it. She just needs to get over this ridiculous nervousness she seems to have around other Pokémon. I'm hoping this evolution thing will fix that little problem of hers. At least Marquise isn't a problem, and neither is Cameron so far.

And of course Tavros is just as pathetic as pathetic can be. [Eyeroll]

Well perhaps you need to be a little bit "meaner" to your own Pokémon. Then they wouldn't do stupid things like throw your portable husktop into the water. They would know better. It teaches them.
