[So Vriska has a had a very long, would-be-trying morning, if she wasn't in such a fucking sunny mood thanks to whatever it is that is going on in Johto.

She'd been out scoping the new Pokémon that had been cropping up here and there, and happened to come across an unusual looking Ralts. She'd seen a few of them already and had tried to catch them, but they always teleported away. This strange looking Ralts had different coloring, but like the others had immediately teleported away when she tried to challenge it.

Vriska kept after it, because be damned if she was gonna let something this rare get away. So after hours of chasing it down, she finally, get this, asked if she could catch it. Even said please. Good thing no one was around to see that. The Ralts, spurred forward by this gesture of good will allowed Vriska to catch him.]

[Now the video comes on, and Vriska is back in Goldenrod, not far off from the OF house. She's sitting on the ground, the shiny Ralts in her lap, petting it, with a rather large grin on her face. Those good feels are really getting to her.]

So look at this cutey I picked up today! It was a hell of a chase, but I got him in the end!

[Ralts squirms a little and squeaks and Vriska hugs him a little tighter. He's just so cute!]

And look at these exquisite markings! How lucky can a girl get? I just need a good name for him now. Hmmmmmmmm.

[There's the sound of a Lopunny behind the 'Gear and Vriska rolls her eyes and pats her lap.]

Well get over here then, dummy. [And the feed turns off as Cameron makes a dash for his trainer in an excited scramble.]

Different, huh? [ He crouches down to offer the little Ralts a high-five. ] What color are they normally?

Green, instead of blue, and red instead of orange. There's a ton of them out there on the routes.

[The Ralts high-fives Dave gladly. However Cameron has different ideas. He's a tough guy after all (even if he's a Lopunny), and he punches Dave in the arm pretty hard. Sup broski.]

[ Fucking ow. Dave loses his balance, catching himself with one hand and ultimately sitting his ass down on the ground. That is one hell of a bunny. ]

Sounds like a shiny. Figures you'd find one, with aaaaaaaall your luck. [ This mockingly, but not unaffectionately. ]

Hah! Glad you're finally learning. A Shiny, huh? [She pokes the Ralts on the tip of the helmet.] So you're a shiny beast, huh? A lucky, shiny beast, and you're aaaaaaaall mine.

[Now Cameron's got nuzzles for you Dave, now that the 'man greeting' is out of the way.]

[ Oh. Well. That's acceptable. Dave scratches behind the base of Cameron's long ears. ]

Still don't have a name for him?

Not yet. I briefly considered Redglare, but that would be naming him after a female. Besides, I'd rather avoid the connotations of him meeting an unfortunate end, like Redglare did.

Could just name him 'Lucky.' I mean.... [ He gestures vaguely to the Ralts. ]

Does that count as a name? Seems like a really weird name. [You humans have weird naming habits]

[strideways]

People name their dogs Lucky all the time. [ He shrugs. ] For way stupider reasons.

[8etterl8]

Huh. I guess Lucky wouldn't be an absolutely terrible name. [She glances down at the Ralts, who squeaks happily. He likes the name.]

[strideways]

Could do worse. Some people name their dogs 'Spot.' And not all of them even fucking have spots.

[8etterl8]

That's completely fucking stupid. [Lucky looks over at Dave and trill, gesturing him closer. Why are you all the way over there friend. You should be over here.]

[strideways]

Welcome to the human race. [ Dave glances at Lucky and moves closer, crouching down. ]
