Twelfth 8ight8all [Video/backdated to the 22nd]

[When the video comes on, an Arcanine is running around romping with a Houndoom and Lopunny. It seems to be enjoying itself, and Cameron is glad to have made some new friends.]

So I'm sure as most of you have heard by now Mr. Cool-kid is gone, vamoosed, outta here. Good riddance I say! Now I no longer have to deal with his crappy sense of humor or this marriage bullshit!

Of course as one last 'fuck you' I swear he left me his two most annoying beasts. They don't even know how to properly listen to orders. The stupid Houndoom even bit me!

I'm not going to miss such an arrogant, irritating, ridiculous, bratty, brat!

[Lies and slander. She misses Dave more than she'll let on. Anyone who knows her, can probably tell that she's actually upset behind all the anger.]

Whatever. Soon I'll have my next badge and be moving away from this ghost town.

[John is....somewhere on his way to Celadon to catch up with Jade. Vriska's not the only one who's less than pleased with Dave at the moment, if the flat, somewhat annoyed tone in John's voice is anything to go by right now.]

[After a second, she sighs. Dave was like John's best friend or something, right? Like he was important to John?]

But yeah, I'm fine. This isn't the first time it's happened and it probably won't be the last. Kind of getting used to losing Daves every couple of months, though I really had hopes that he would stick around longer this time. He almost made it a year...

That's good? Is that good? I mean, that your fine obviously. It's better than being a torn up cry baby just because he disappeared. Do you punch him every time he comes back? I think that's a good tradition. We should just start punching them all.

[She's rambling just a little. How do you even deal with this kind of loss, knowing they might be back in just another month or so? It's not like their dead. Death is easy to deal with. Maybe it would be better if he were dead. This friendship stuff is hard.]

No. The punching thing is hardly a tradition. This will be the first time and hopefully the last. Because it's not his fault that he left. It isn't anybody's, really. I mean, in all likelihood, he probably didn't want to leave. So it's not really fair to be mad at him for that.

[It's okay, Vriska. You'll get the hang of this friendship thing.]

But this time...this time he did something incredibly stupid and heartless before he left. He did have a choice there, and he made the wrong one. And I just...augh!

[He is really quite steamed about this.]

What the hell did he do? [She's not all surprised. Dave has never struck her as the smartest kid.]

For some reason he got the idea in his head that it would be a good idea to leave Rose, Jade, and I letters to find after he left. I haven't read mine yet because Rose and I haven't made it to Celadon yet but Jade told me about hers and it's just...it's not something you put a girl through, especially not a girl who happens to be one of your closest friends.

[Oh. He left the four of them letters... Whatever.]

Well, like he's ever known how to treat a girl. [If you could see her rolling her eyes right now.]

[A pause.]

So you all got letters?

That may be, but still. It just doesn't sit right with me. [Not gentlemanly at all!] But yeah, according to Jade we did. She found them with his stuff after he disappeared.

Just the three of you I take it? [Not like she needed a letter anyway. It probably would have just told her how fat she is.]

Um...well Jade only mentioned mine and Rose's. I didn't think to ask if there were others, sorry.

Whatever! It's not like it matters anyway. He was annoying. He's probably as glad to be rid of me as I am of him!

[Oh, Vriska...]

[This actually has him calming down somewhat for the first time since Jade told him about what was written in her letter. He could tell that Vriska was upset in her initial post, but it wasn't until now that he could really see just how upset she was.]

[Aaaaand instead he'd just been talking about his own anger and encouraging her to punch Dave, oops. He's pretty sure Karkat would be foaming at the mouth right now if he could see this conversation. THIS ISN'T HOW MOIRAILS ACT, NOOKSTAIN.]

That's not true. Well...okay, you are right, he is annoying sometimes. But it's kind of impossible for him to be glad to be rid of you considering he doesn't remember any of this now. And I am pretty sure you aren't really glad that he's gone either.

It's so fucked up, but I actually think I'm going to miss all his annoying remarks, and jabs at my weight. That stupid smirk, that made you want to pound his face in.

Nah, that's not fucked up. That's just how it does with Dave.
