[In front of her you can see Marquise battling a wild Noctowl and having no trouble with it. After a moment she takes the Pokégear from Cameron who lets out a disappointed noise.]

So I keep seeing t-talk of all this Christ-mas stuff. That's k-kind of like our 12th Perigee's Eve. You decorate stuff, and generally everyone's fucking happy. Sometimes there are g-gifts.

Sounds great and all. [She doesn't look like it sounds great, but that is quickly replaced by a look of irritation as a yappy puppy comes running up and places it's front paws on her legs, wagging it's tail.]

Oh yeah, your stupid egg hatched Karkat! Most annoying th-thing ever. [She nudges the puppy idly, and calls Marquise back once the Noctowl's unconcious. She doesn't bother catching it. The Poochyena yips happily and comes back to jump up on his trainer again.] You'd also think it was starved for attention. It's reeeeeeeeally not.

[But well, it is another body, and she is cold, so after a second, she reaches down and picks him up, stuffing him in her jacket. Stupid mutt.]

[Instead of responding with a video or text, John simply turns the gear off and walks into the kitchen. About fifteen minutes later, he's approaching Vriska outside, bundled in a jacket, scarf, and mittens with a cup of something steaming in each hand. Behind him trots Casey, who is garbed in a bright pink sweater.]

[Once he reaches the former troll, he hands her one of the Styrofoam cups.]

But she reaches out and takes the cup with one hand. And, yeah okay, that's a bit better. Definitely warm.]

I have a sweater on under it, I'll be fine. Besides, this sort of weather isn't that different from Washington's. [And handing his cocoa to Casey, he begins pulling his jacket off. Sure enough, he's wearing a bright blue sweater underneath it...with a Lopunny on the front. Rose was feeling creative when she was experimenting with knitting sweaters, okok?]

[She does take a moment to stare at the Lopunny sweater. Cute? Maybe. There are worse Pokémon that could be on there she supposes. Letting down the Poochyena, she hands her hot chocolate off to John as she slips the coat on. Much nicer than her own jacket, which is a piece of shit really. But it was cheap.]

Muuuuuuuuch better. [She takes the cocoa back, taking another sip, better prepared for how hot it is this time.]
